Ramayana 5 - The home coming
Ramayana is an epic poem written by Sage Valmiki, which narrates the journey of virtue to destroy the vice. The term 'Ramayana', literally means the journey of Rama in search of human values. The characters and incidents in Ramayana teach people about the invaluable ideals of love and wisdom.
This part narrates the story of the bravery of Lord Rama and his army, including his brother Lakshmana, who is wounded severely by a poisonous arrow shot by the Demon King Ravana.
But, the brave Lord Hanuman flies across the oceans to obtain the medicinal herb Sanjivni to cure Lakshmana. Eventually, Ravana, his kin, and his entire force is defeated by Lord Rama and his military allies, and in triumph Lord Rama returns to Ayodhya with Lakshmana and Sita and is crowned the king.
The everlasting values taught by Lord Rama in this epic tale have been celebrated through the centuries, and continues to have an impact on Indian art and culture.
