Holi is the festival of colors and is definitely the most pleasant and lively Hindu festival. It's an occasion that brings with it lots of charm, laughter, fun, play, music, dance, and, most importantly, lots of bright colors!
On the eve of Holi, also known as the Small Holi, people from all sections of society gather at important passes and light huge bonfires. This ceremony is called Holika Dahan.
The final day of Holi is very colorful with all its fun rituals and joyous celebrations. People throng the streets dressed in white, and smear each other with bright colored powders and squirt colored water on each other with water guns. The main attraction of this festival is that it brings people from all classes of society together as people celebrate with each other, irrespective of caste, color, race, sex, or social status.
Hence, the spirit of Holi encourages the feeling of brotherhood as even enemies turn friend on this day.
